One of Toyota’s authorized dealers in Najaf is looking for a Procurement Consultant with below requirements:
Main Tasks:
- Collaborate with clients to assess their procurement needs, goals, and challenges, and develop tailored procurement strategies and initiatives to meet their objectives.
- Conduct market research, supplier evaluations, and spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
- Define procurement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Evaluate current supplier relationships and capabilities, and identify potential new suppliers or sourcing opportunities to diversify the supply chain and optimize supplier performance.
- Develop supplier selection criteria, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms to ensure favorable agreements and maximize value for the organization.
- Establish supplier performance metrics, monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) while mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents to formalize agreements and clarify terms and conditions.
- Monitor contract performance, track contract expiration dates, and proactively renew or renegotiate contracts as needed to maintain favorable supplier relationships and meet business needs.
- Assess current procurement processes, workflows, and systems, and identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and enhance efficiency.
- Implement procurement automation tools, e-procurement platforms, and digital solutions to optimize sourcing, procurement, and contract management processes and increase operational ability.
- Provide training and guidance to procurement teams and stakeholders on new processes, tools, and technologies to drive adoption and maximize benefits.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, vendor non-compliance, and regulatory violations, through proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing procurement practices, such as ethical sourcing, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement or purchasing management, business administration, logistics and economics or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in strategic procurement, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Fluent in English and Arabic Languages.
- Strong analytical skills in spend analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Expertise in developing procurement policies, KPIs, and process improvement strategies.
- Proficient in sourcing, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Skilled in contract drafting, compliance management, and regulatory adherence.
- Familiarity with procurement automation tools, e-procurement platforms, and digital solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, training, and change management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards.
