Job Scope:
The role of an Operations Lead / Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring efficient, safe, and efficient profitable operations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strong organizational skills to oversee daily activities, manage teams, and deliver on business objectives in a highly regulated and dynamic environment.
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in balancing operational excellence and performance with safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control.

Primary Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of daily field or plant operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met in efficient and safe manner.
- Coordinate with other depts (Reservoir / Maintenance / support) who contribute and impact operations to ensure good communications and understanding of requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Manage, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary workforce, including engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors. Provide guidance, delegate tasks, and facilitate effective communication across teams.
- Ensure focus on national development in line with localization targets set.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
- Uphold strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Conduct safety briefings, oversee incident investigations, and implement risk mitigation measures in line with industry standards.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive cost savings. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials. Monitor inventories and coordinate with procurement to ensure continuous supply for operations.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Prepare, provide input and support Operations Manager with operational budgets. Track expenditures, analyse variances, and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising on safety or quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, safety incidents, maintenance schedules, and production data. Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory authorities. Represent the operations function in meetings and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Emergency Response:
- Lead or participate in emergency preparedness and response activities, ensuring the team is trained and ready to handle operational incidents or crises.
