Your Role
This is a mandate to transform, not maintain. You’ll lead the people agenda across a multi-sector business - trading, construction, retail etc- while guiding a family enterprise through the shift from legacy systems to structured governance.
You’ll partner directly with the Group CEO and senior leadership to align people, performance, and purpose. The job needs someone who can architect modern frameworks while building trust across generations and cultures.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement a group-wide HR strategy that supports transformation and growth
- Rationalize structures and operating models to drive performance and clarity
- Build leadership pipelines for critical roles and develop future-ready talent
- Standardize performance management, compensation frameworks, and KPI-based rewards
- Lead cultural integration while respecting the group’s legacy and local nuances
- Coach business leaders through change — blending influence with execution
- Optimize SAP and HR analytics for better decision-making and operational control
- Strengthen compliance, employee relations, and labor law alignment
What You Bring
- 20+ years of senior HR leadership, including experience at CHRO or Group HR Head level
- A proven track record in diversified business groups, ideally family-run or multi-industry
- Strong exposure to performance culture building, leadership development, and org design
- Experience operating in Iraq, the GCC, or similar frontier markets
- Strong systems orientation (SAP/ERP) and a data-led approach to HR
- Arabic-English bilingual fluency preferred
- Comfort working across cultural, generational, and business complexities
