ZainCash is seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of IT operations across core fintech platforms and supporting infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of production systems, including applications, deployment environments, and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of application operations with overview of infrastructure monitoring and SLAs to support our fast-growing fintech services.
This role requires strong capabilities of application lifecycle and support, configuration management, and collaboration with development teams for successful delivery and incident resolution
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Level 2 support for both business-critical applications and infrastructure, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and service disruptions.
Act as a key stakeholder in application configuration, deployment coordination, and environment readiness (staging, UAT, production).
Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to support DevOps pipelines, troubleshoot application-level issues, and validate release readiness.
Monitor all aspects of the tech stack including servers, microservices, databases, APIs, message queues, and network/security layers.
Own configuration management across applications and infrastructure, maintaining consistency, version control, and rollback procedures.
Implement structured change and deployment management practices with proper validation, documentation, and rollback plans.
Lead incident response activities, ensuring proper root cause analysis (RCA) across application and system domains.
Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports covering system performance, availability, and error rates across apps and infra.
Manage asset and access controls not only for physical systems but also for application-level roles, keys, and privileges.
Ensure all operations align with Central Bank regulations, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and fintech data integrity standards.
Manage vendor and third-party relationships for both hardware and platforms (e.g., core banking, payment gateways, APIs).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in IT operations or infrastructure and application management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Hands-on experience in supporting production applications, understanding software deployment processes, and troubleshooting APIs and database-backed systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring APM tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK).
Experience with ITSM systems (ServiceNow, Jira) and structured ITIL or SRE practices.
Strong analytical and coordination skills to work across infrastructure, application teams, and business operations.
Fintech or banking experience is a strong plus, particularly in supporting compliance-heavy platforms.
