Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and supporting our service staff.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of dining room operations
- Lead, train, and motivate the service team to maintain high standards of customer service
- Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Manage reservations and handle special requests or complaints professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food service
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign duties to team members
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area
- Assist in menu planning and wine list development
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Prepare reports on sales, customer feedback, and staff performance
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants
- Previous experience as a captain or in a similar leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in restaurant management software
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems efficiently
