Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Officer plays a key role in supporting the full recruitment cycle to ensure the timely hiring of high-quality candidates. This role collaborates closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to execute sourcing strategies, manage candidate pipelines, and enhance the employer brand while maintaining excellent candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in managing end-to-end recruitment processes for academic and non-academic roles.
- Post job advertisements on internal and external platforms in line with university branding guidelines.
- Screen CVs and conduct initial candidate outreach to schedule interviews.
- Coordinate interview logistics, including panel scheduling, room bookings, and candidate communications.
Sourcing & Outreach:
- Proactively source candidates via online platforms, social media, university networks, and job fairs.
- Maintain and update talent pools and candidate pipelines for future openings.
Candidate Experience & Communication:
- Ensure timely and professional communication with applicants at all stages of the hiring process.
- Assist in drafting offer letters, regret letters, and other recruitment-related correspondence.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly recruitment reports for the Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process enhancements to improve recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure alignment between recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment or HR support roles (experience in higher education or a startup environment is a plus).
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
