Job Summary
Security operations managers are responsible for directing the activities of security personnel to ensure the protection of an organization’s physical assets, properties, and resources.
Job Responsibilities
- Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures.
- Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding lives and property.
- Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high-quality security services.
- Oversee the coordination of staff during an emergency.
- Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload.

Job Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical security principles, procedures, and systems.
- Familiarity with local and international security regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience in risk assessment and crisis management planning.
- Proficiency in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV operations, and alarm systems.
- Ability to lead and manage security teams effectively across multiple sites.
- Skilled in developing and implementing security policies and emergency response plans.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments (HR, HSE, Legal, etc.).
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of security management software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and has a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Job Experience
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in security operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing security staff, contractors, and control room operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures.
- Experience in conducting investigations, handling security breaches, and preparing detailed incident reports.
- Previous involvement in coordinating with law enforcement, emergency services, and external security vendors.
- Background in training security personnel on emergency response, evacuation protocols, and conflict management.
- Experience managing security systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and perimeter protection.
- Prior work in a corporate, industrial, or facility management environment is highly preferred.
- Experience working in high-risk or sensitive locations is an asset.
- Familiarity with ISO standards related to security (e.g., ISO 18788) is a plus.

A bachelor’s degree in security management, Law, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional).
First Aid, Fire Safety, or Emergency Response training certificates are a plus.
