Job Overview
An experienced Electrician Technician is responsible for managing and executing daily electrical tasks, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise in power distribution, lighting systems, control panels, generators, and elevator systems. The technician ensures all electrical work is performed by relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and operational procedures. In addition to technical tasks, the technician plays a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while supporting building systems’ overall reliability and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution panels, control circuits, and emergency systems.
- Conduct preventive and planned maintenance (PPM) activities on electrical infrastructure, ensuring all components function efficiently and in line with safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections and servicing of generators (standby and prime power), including load testing, oil and filter changes, battery checks, and synchronization systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair elevator systems, coordinating with OEM vendors as needed to ensure safe and uninterrupted operation.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing tools and techniques, and perform corrective actions to restore system performance.
- Ensure proper grounding, cable management, and adherence to electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC) in all installations and repairs.
- Maintain and update detailed maintenance logs, PPM checklists, and service reports for all electrical equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of operations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams (HVAC, BMS, Plumbing) to support integrated facility operations and resolve cross-system issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and actively contribute to a safe work environment.
- Participate in energy efficiency and electrical load optimization initiatives as required by management.
- Keep tools, testing devices, and workspaces clean, calibrated, and organized for effective and safe use.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrician Technician (minimum 3–5 years).
- Experience in electrical components of the generator and elevators (1-3 years ).
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, wiring, and applicable regulations.
- Ability to work with electrical blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Solid understanding of safety practices and PPE usage.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform field work, including working at heights or in confined spaces when needed.
