Al-Alamyah is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Iraq, dedicated to producing high-quality medications and medical supplies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmaceutical Automation Engineer to join our Engineering/Technical Operations team.
Position Title: Pharmaceutical Automation Engineer
Department: Engineering / Technical Operations
Preferred Nationalities: Iraqi or Indian
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, validate, and maintain automated systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing and utilities.
- Integrate and support control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, BMS) while ensuring GMP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Collaborate in project execution for new lines and expansions, including FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain validation documentation (URS, FS, DS, IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Lead CSV efforts ensuring compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and ICH guidelines.
- Provide training to technical and operations staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments.
- Knowledge of cleanroom automation, utility control (HVAC, WFI, Clean Steam) is a plus.
- Proficiency in SCADA, SAP, Ample Logic, EQMS, CSV processes.
- Familiarity with GAMP 5, ISA standards, and cybersecurity for industrial systems.
- GAMP 5 or CSV training certification; Siemens/Allen Bradley programming is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and teamwork.
