Roles & Responsibilities
- Must be capable of reading, comprehending, negotiating & drafting EPC Contracts, Subcontracts, Agreements, and Contract Documents;
- Executing and delivering all Pre-Contracts Deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Review of Tender Documents.
- Advising on Critical Tender Requirements.
- Prepare Contract Qualification/Deviation & Risk Registers.
- Participate in negotiation and clarification meetings.
- Negotiate and Finalize Contracts & Subcontracts.
- Design, Monitor, and Control the Contract Risk Register;
- Coordinate with the Project Manager in creating awareness of Contractual Risks;
- Coordinate with the Site Project Management Team regularly to collect Site Progress Information and Data in terms of all aspects of Contracts & Subcontracts Administration and escalate to the Contracts & Project Manager.
- Preparation, submission, negotiation, finalization, and management of all Construction Claims & Variation Proposals;
- Manage and archive all Project Records and Contemporaneous documents, including emails and letters, to facilitate the preparation of effective claims and resolve disputes;
- Attend Site Project Meetings with Project Managers and Clients as required;
- Work closely with Project Cost controllers in tracking and reporting Project Cost Information periodically;
- Preparation and submission of all Project Closeout Documents as per Contract;
- Managing all Taxes, Bonds, Insurances, Warranties & Guarantees for all Projects;
- Actively monitors contract performance and risks, and identifies appropriate strategies to achieve contract outcomes;
- Consults with a range of stakeholders and maintains positive and effective working relationships;
- Actively monitor financial control of the contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company’s procedures and objectives are achieved;
- Manage all Contractual Communications with Clients, Partners & Subcontractors; and manage disputes with Clients and Subcontractors.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) by an internationally recognized contract management association is an advantage;
- A FIDIC Certified Contract Manager is highly desirable;
- 15+ years of Experience in the EPC Oil & Gas/Power Sectors;
- Exposure to Quantity Surveying & Contracts Administration at Project Sites.
- Knowledge & Skills in Construction Scheduling Software and MS Office.
- Fluency in English. Proficiency/working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
