We’re Hiring – Senior Accountant
Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region
Company: Dambayan Oil & Gas Refinery
Dambayan is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. If you are detail-oriented, and ready to take responsibility for financial reporting in the oil & gas industry, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with IFRS & Iraqi tax laws.
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Supervise junior accountants and support audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA preferred).
Five+ years’ accounting experience (oil & gas industry is a plus).
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Iraqi financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP, or similar) & MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Fluency in Kurdish and English /Arabic.
