Position Summary
The Quantity Surveyor shall be degree qualified in a specialist field (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Economics) whilst possessing at least 5 years’ experience within the Oil & Gas industry, delivering quantity surveying, financial reporting, and cost control services within both Project and Operations environments.
The primary objective of the Quantity Surveyor is to provide quantity surveying, commercial and contractual support, and budget & cost control services to support the Production & Maintenance department, ensuring strict governance and compliance in all aspects of cost and contract-related matters.
Deliverables & Requirements
- Provide Quantity Surveying services within the Asset Business Services Team.
- Review and support Contractor CTR submissions in strict adherence to Contract Scope and Schedule of Prices. This will require multi-discipline review and take-off measurement of drawing submissions to verify proposed quantities on Unit Rate Contracts.
- Provide post-award Contract Management support to various Contract Holders, including CTR quotation review, application for payments, change management, KPI monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist the Asset Business Services Lead with the pre-award tendering process, including the development of strategies, preparation of technical and commercial evaluation models, building ACV requirements, and estimates.
- Act as a point of contact for all contractual and commercial issues within Production & Maintenance (full life cycle pre- and post-award activities).
- Provide guidance and technical expertise in contractual analysis to support Contract Holders’ decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and principles at all times.
- Participate actively in the development, coaching, and mentoring of local staff.

Required Competencies / Qualifications / Experience / Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Degree qualified in a relevant specialty (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Business).
- Strong background in Contract & Cost Management.
- Expertise in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages; advanced level in Excel and SAP.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes with contractors regarding quotations or claims.
- Ability to work effectively within an international, multi-cultural team environment.
