At Eni, we are looking for a Plant Production Shift Supervisor within the Zubair Field Operating Division in Basra, Iraq. You will be responsible for managing the electrical power requirements of the DGSN, ensuring that all operational needs are met efficiently and reliably. This includes overseeing all activities within the electric substation to guarantee safe working conditions for field electric motors and equipment, supporting uninterrupted production and maintenance operations.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
- Isolate electrical machines prior to maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance work at electrical stations.
- Ensure all operations within the electric substation are carried out safely to allow work on electric motors and equipment.
- Verify on-site that electrical equipment protection has been implemented under safe conditions before commencing any activity.
- Perform switching operations on the electrical network (HVT, MT, LT).
- Record operating parameters in the main register along with all events occurring during the shift.
- Prepare monthly and annual energy balance reports.
- Ensure cleanliness of SSE units.
- Support the hierarchy in implementing major improvements to enhance system and equipment reliability.
- Maintain full awareness of HSE rules applicable to assigned activities and monitor compliance.
Skills and experience required:
- Qualified electrical engineer.
- Extensive experience in oil and gas plants or refineries, specifically in the role of Substation Supervisor.
- Adherence to HSE instructions and standards.
- Strong knowledge of appropriate intervention methods for electrical equipment.
- Proven ability to manage personnel under their responsibility.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
