Al-Rakeezeh Foundation for Relief and Development (RRD) is pleased to announce several job openings within the FORSA Project, implemented in partnership with Education Above All (EAA) and Save the Children (SCI).
The project aims to support Out-of-School Children (OOSC) in Iraq by improving access to inclusive and quality education.

Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months (renewable, subject to donor funding and satisfactory performance)
- Job Purpose
The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with RRD and donor (EAC/Save the Children) financial policies, and supporting effective budget management for the FORSA Project. The position ensures proper use of funds, timely financial reporting, and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements in line with international NGO standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting, recordkeeping, and documentation in accordance with RRD and donor financial procedures.
- Support the Project Manager in preparing annual and monthly budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
- Process payments, monitor cash advances, and ensure reconciliation of all project accounts.
- Review and verify all financial transactions for accuracy, eligibility, and compliance with donor regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date financial ledgers, bank reconciliations, and expenditure reports.
- Prepare financial reports for submission to Save the Children/EAC and internal RRD management.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing all required documentation.
- Support procurement and logistics teams in verifying financial compliance and documentation.
- Ensure all financial data is backed up and stored securely according to RRD policy.
- Contribute to capacity building of project and field staff on financial compliance and budgeting procedures.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably with NGOs or international organizations.
- Proven experience with donor-funded projects (Save the Children, UNICEF, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budget control, and financial reporting.
- Experience in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English required.
