Position Objective
The Senior Parts Supervisor at SAS Toyota – Basrah is responsible for leading and managing all parts operations within the dealership. This role ensures efficient inventory control, outstanding customer service, and optimised sales performance. Through strategic leadership and operational oversight, the Senior Parts Supervisor drives continuous improvement, maximises profitability, and upholds Toyota’s global standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role also fosters a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and operational excellence across the parts department.
Note: Prior experience with Toyota parts operations or a valid Toyota Parts Certification is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the parts department team, including Parts Advisors, Pickers, and Storekeepers.
- Promote a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear KPIs, conduct regular coaching sessions, and manage performance evaluations to support staff development.
2. Inventory Management
- Oversee all aspects of parts inventory, including procurement, receiving, storage, and issuance.
- Implement inventory optimisation strategies to reduce obsolescence and ensure the availability of fast-moving items.
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct periodic audits in line with Toyota inventory standards.
3. Sales & Customer Service
- Drive parts sales growth through effective sales initiatives and upselling strategies.
- Ensure the team delivers knowledgeable, timely, and professional service to internal and external customers.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining high satisfaction levels.
4. Supplier & Vendor Relations
- Manage relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate favorable terms and monitor supplier performance to maintain a reliable supply chain.
- Stay updated on market trends and new product introductions to maintain a competitive edge.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyse department KPIs, including sales targets, inventory turnover, fill rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular performance reports and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
6. Compliance & Operational Standards
- Ensure full compliance with SAS Toyota policies, safety regulations, and Toyota manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to uphold quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in parts operations within a Toyota dealership or authorised service centre
- Valid Toyota Parts Certification or documented training in Toyota parts systems and standards
- Strong leadership, inventory management, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in KPI tracking and operational reporting
