Our Client, a Leading Business Group having presence at Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Japan & Turkey is looking for Warehouse Manager at their Baghdad Office. The Warehouse Manager at LOFT is responsible for leading and controlling all warehouse operations that support design, construction, and fit-out projects. The role ensures accurate inventory management, timely material availability, and smooth coordination with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and cost control across multiple project sites

Operations Director / SCM Director
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Material Management
- Maintain accurate records of all construction, architectural, MEP, and finishing materials.
- Track stock levels, movement, and consumption using warehouse management systems.
- Implement strong stock control procedures, including periodic and surprise stock counts.
- Ensure materials required for ongoing and upcoming project phases are available on time.
- Monitor slow-moving or excess materials and recommend corrective actions.
2. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily operations including receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, and dispatching.
- Organize warehouse layout to optimize space for construction materials (steel, wood, tiles, gypsum, electrical items, HVAC, etc.).
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled with project codes, batch numbers, and quantities.
- Implement damage-prevention practices during handling and storage.
- Ensure proper documentation for inbound/outbound items, including delivery notes, inspection forms, and GRNs.
3. Coordination with Projects & Engineering Teams
- Work closely with procurement, site engineers, and project managers to plan material deliveries according to project schedules.
- Fulfill requisitions from different project sites accurately and on time.
- Communicate shortages, delays, or quality issues immediately to project teams.
- Support project mobilization/demobilization with proper material planning and logistics.
4. Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Enforce safety protocols, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards in all warehouse areas.
- Ensure compliance with LOFT policies, ISO procedures, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure materials meet quality requirements and are stored to prevent contamination or damage.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Manage warehouse staff including storekeepers, helpers, forklift operators, and logistics assistants.
- Plan workloads, assign duties, and monitor performance.
- Provide training on material handling, documentation, and safety practices.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on inventory levels, stock discrepancies, consumption patterns, and material movement.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all transactions to support finance, audit, and procurement.
- Assist in reconciliation during internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse or material management experience, preferably in construction, contracting, fit-out, or real estate development.
- Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and MS Office (Excel is essential).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project requirements.
