The Field and Liaison Officer will coordinate field activities, establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, partners, and stakeholders, and ensure smooth communication between project teams and beneficiaries. The role also involves facilitating community outreach, monitoring field activities, and supporting the successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Coordination:
- Oversee and facilitate field-level activities, including community outreach, awareness sessions, and technical assessments.
- Coordinate site visits, training sessions, and prototyping workshops in collaboration with the project team.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and relevant government departments.
- Represent Mosul Space in local forums, public meetings, and project-related events.
- Community Outreach & Mobilization:
- Engage with target communities to promote project activities and encourage participation.
- Collaborate with community leaders and local organizations to ensure broad outreach and inclusion.
- Address community concerns and provide timely feedback to the project team.
- Logistics & Procurement:
- Plan and manage procurement of goods and services required for field activities in compliance with internal and donor policies.
- Maintain updated inventories of supplies and equipment, including procurement tracking and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and logistical support.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that all field activities comply with organizational policies and donor guidelines.
- Identify and report potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in administration, development studies, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in field coordination, event management, or liaison roles, preferably in the development or humanitarian sector.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage procurement procedures and logistics planning in field-based environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenging field conditions.
Preferred:
- Experience working on donor-funded projects (e.g., EU, GIZ, ITC, UN, USAID).
- Knowledge of local supply chains, vendor networks, and community dynamics in Mosul and Nineveh.
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory management tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, procurement trackers).
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the governorate.
