Introduction:
MITAS ENERGY has been awarded a project as part of the Ratawi Solar Projects. The scope includes the construction of five 132 kV transmission lines comprising approximately 480 towers, installation of 8 km of 132 kV underground cables, and the construction of one GIS substation.

Position Summary:
MITAS ENERGY is seeking a dedicated Security Assistant to ensure the safe and secure execution of project activities. The role involves assisting in the implementation of security measures, monitoring site activities, and facilitating communication between project teams, local stakeholders, and authorities. The Security Coordinator will help manage risks across work zones, many of which intersect with tribal lands, farms, and rural communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing the project-specific security plan, including preparing clear and well-structured reports in English and maintaining accurate documentation and data using Microsoft Excel.
- Support routine security assessments of project sites, including transmission lines and the substation.
- Monitor local security conditions and report relevant information to the Project Manager.
- Help coordinate with local law enforcement, tribal representatives, and other stakeholders to maintain a secure working environment.
- Supervise and support onsite security personnel.
- Contribute to the resolution of grievances involving safety or security concerns.
- Ensure adherence to national security regulations, and international best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Security, Criminal Justice, or related disciplines) is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a security-related role within infrastructure or construction projects.
- Familiarity with local security challenges, particularly in tribal and rural areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
