Job Title: HSE M&E Safety Advisor

Role Synopsis:
A development role providing Health, Safety and Environment support in Oil field. The M&E Safety Advisor supports the M&E department, primarily influencing the safety and well-being of the filed workforce. The individual is responsible for implementing and verifying HSE practices and procedures across operations, including Life Saving Rules and other Safe Systems of Work.
The M&E Safety Advisor reports directly to the Operations Safety Team Leader while maintaining a strong relationship with M&E Dept, support ops HSE team lead in personnel management, on-site to ensure HSE issues are being addressed and managed appropriately
Key Accountabilities:
- Development of HSE Skills
- Report to work location with promptness, prepared and willing to learn, practice skills, and accept new challenges as identified by HSE Advisors.
- Communication
- Use effective communication in both Arabic and English to influence the workforce positively for HSE compliance.
- Life Saving Rules
- Maintain deep understanding and actively promote compliance with the Life Saving Rules.
- Safe Working Practices
- Monitor and advise teams on safe practices, aligned with ROO and international standards.
- Safety Culture
- Promote a culture of safety and embed the “Stop the Job” mindset across all operational areas.
- Risk/Hazard Identification
- Maintain a strong field presence to identify gaps in procedures and report deficiencies to line management.
- Daily Routines
- Conduct regular work site inspections to confirm compliance with HSE procedures and expectations.
- Lessons Learned
- Cascade lessons learned and relevant information to all levels of the workforce promptly.
- HSE Performance Review & Analysis
Regularly review and analyse M&E HSE performance data of including incident trends, leading/lagging indicators, and reporting quality. Support preparation of monthly and quarterly safety performance dashboards in collaboration with the central HSE team.
Track and report attendance trends of local employees. Identify patterns of absenteeism or frequent lateness and escalate issues where necessary to ensure team productivity and discipline. Support ops team lead in employee relations and performance review.
- Digitalization & IT Support
Support the HSE digitalization journey by working with IT and Data Service teams. Assist in optimizing and updating digital tools such as Maximo Incident Reporting, Self-Verification System with LSR integration, and Power BI dashboards. Suggest and validate digital enhancements to improve efficiency and field usability
Criteria & Qualifications:
- Fluent in Arabic and English languages with a desire to learn and work.
- Experience in other industrial work environment.
- 3-plus years of experience is required
