Are you a Quality Control professional with deep expertise in steel manufacturing and industrial production standards? Qaiwan Steel Factory is looking for a QC Manager to lead and oversee all quality control activities at our facility in Kalar. This is a leadership role focused on ensuring product excellence, process efficiency, and compliance with national and international quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities:
A. Develop, implement, and maintain the factory’s Quality Control systems, ensuring alignment with ISO and other applicable industrial standards.
B. Monitor all stages of steel production to ensure strict compliance with technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
C. Supervise and train QC inspectors and technicians, ensuring consistent performance and adherence to inspection protocols.
D. Conduct root cause analysis for defects or non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive measures.
E. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams to address quality issues and improve product standards.
F. Manage internal and external audits and ensure readiness for customer inspections and third-party certifications.
G. Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, test reports, and compliance records.
H. Review and approve raw material and finished product testing reports, ensuring traceability and conformance.
I. Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste without compromising quality.
J. Liaise with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns and provide technical support as needed.
K. Prepare periodic quality reports for senior management and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
L. Ensure that laboratory testing equipment is properly maintained, and calibrated.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
i. Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (required).
ii. 7–10 years of experience in quality control within steel manufacturing or a related heavy industrial setting.
iii. Deep knowledge of steel production processes, quality inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
iv. Strong understanding of international standards such as ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, or EN.
v. Proficiency in QC tools, root cause analysis methods, and quality documentation systems.
