Job Summary:
The Branch Manager, appointed by the Board of Directors of Janus Global Operations Ltd., is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the Company’s branch in Iraq. This role ensures compliance with local laws, as well as company policies and procedures, while actively supporting the Company’s vision, mission, and values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent the Company before all ministries, government bodies, institutions, companies, and individuals in Iraq.
- Operate and manage all affairs of the Iraq Branch.
- Accept service and receive official correspondence.
- Execute and file applications, instruments, forms, declarations, labor contracts (and terminations), and all necessary documents for the registration and administration of the Iraq Branch.
- Represent the Company in all legal matters within Iraq, including courts, arbitrations, administrative and tax bodies, and in any disputes or legal actions.
- Act as the Company's authorized representative under Iraqi law, including Law No. 21 of 1997 and related legislation.
- Manage all banking affairs: open and close accounts, authorize withdrawals and deposits, initiate transfers, and sign banking instruments (including letters of credit and bank guarantees).
- Appoint and revoke legal or general agents, attorneys, and substitutes.
- Fulfill additional duties assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Must be able and willing to travel within Iraq and internationally as necessary.
- The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security, or a related field can be substituted with four additional years of experience in security or project management operations
- Prior background in the military, paramilitary, or law enforcement. If applicable, an honorable discharge is required
- Ten years of experience in protective security services, including two years in a supervisory or command role
- Prior experience in hostile or post-conflict zones
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform under pressure in high-risk environments.
- Possess a strong understanding of contract and security operations, especially in development or post-conflict regions.
- Demonstrated analytical, leadership, and practical relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to navigate regulatory complexities and diverse operational environments.
- An ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze regulations while fostering consensus in an organizational environment marked by diverse operational activities and often conflicting regulations from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Willingness to travel throughout Iraq as required.
- Ability to operate in high-stress diverse security conditions.
- Availability for emergency response situations.
- May face exposure to extreme weather and limited infrastructure.
