Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As a Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in establishing, coordinating, and administering all Food and Beverage Control and accounting-related functions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting and reporting policies related to Food and Beverage operations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, comparing performance with operating plans and standards
- Assist in the compilation and preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
- Manage the Food and Beverage Control department, ensuring efficient operations and accurate record-keeping
- Monitor and control Food and Beverage outlets in terms of wastage, pilferage, and efficiency
- Maintain and optimize database and point of sale systems
- Collaborate with the Finance Director and F&B Director to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Provide support to outlet managers on Food and Beverage Cost Control issues
- Contribute to short and long-term planning for the department
- Recommend and implement procedural and operational improvements to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a similar Cost Controller role
- Strong knowledge of Food and Beverage Control principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and cost control systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and compliance requirements
