Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient General Cashier- Payroll professional to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payroll, and maintaining accurate records for our hotel.
- Handle cash, checks, and electronic transactions with precision and accuracy
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates
- Reconcile cash drawers and prepare daily financial reports
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
- Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in cashier or payroll roles
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems
- Strong mathematical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Advanced data entry and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of financial regulations and tax laws
- Experience with cash handling and financial transactions
- Understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
