Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As an integral part of our facilities management department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems throughout our hotel.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate test equipment
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency
- Install and maintain lighting systems, power distribution systems, and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and outages
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Provide guidance and support to junior electricians and apprentices
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment
- Proficiency in using various electrical test equipment and tools
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and local codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency power systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
