Job Summary
The Senior Logistics Manager oversees the organization’s inbound and outbound logistics operations. This position manages all aspects of logistics operations to ensure consistent high-level service quality and customer satisfaction, profitability, cost-efficient operations, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
- Delivering solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary constraints.
- Oversee quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
- Manage and negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes.
- Manage and evaluate logistics operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
- Interpret trends and analyze, and review data.
- Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to
- aid customer service and cost improvements.
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
- Direct and negotiating logistics costs meant for 3rd party logistics providers assisting yearly budget goals.
- Establish standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
- Direct continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure compliance of the Logistics Team with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all those connected with the logistics process.
- Ensure customers receive their products/materials promptly and in good condition.
- Resolve problems concerning logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practices results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Ensure that all functions under supervision operate by health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovation through formal and informal study, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced expertise in logistics management, encompassing transportation, inventory control, and supply chain optimization, to lead complex logistics operations.
- Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills to oversee large-scale logistics teams, drive performance, and achieve operational objectives.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems to analyze data, optimize routes, and streamline warehouse operations for cost savings and efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and resolve logistics-related issues effectively.
- Problem-solving capabilities to identify operational inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and ensure seamless logistics operations.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is a requirement to be in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, (5 years) relevant working experience, (2 years) GCC is a plus.

Education
A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
Advanced training in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software is a plus.
