Kurdistan Center for International Law (KCIL) is an academic Kurdish-German, non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit, and independent center with a primary focus on research and analysis of international law pertaining to Kurdistan’s communities. KCIL combines advocacy with legal analysis to protect, promote and fulfill the fundamental principles of International Human Rights law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Criminal Law in Kurdistan. Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets.
- Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
- Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes.
- Contribute to financial audits.
- Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
- Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as per KCIL and donor requirements.
- Ensure timely invoice payment and processing.
- Carrying out the necessary financial records and reconciling advances with employees.
Admin
- Managing office affairs and dealing with partners.
- Providing the necessary coordination and logistical support for any work activities or meetings.
- Responsible for archiving and organizational documents.
- Providing support for staff travel, visits and making the necessary reservations.
- Contribute to the development of proposals for new funding opportunities.
Qualification & Preferred skills:
- University degree, preferably in administration, financial, accounting, or relevant professions.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as admin, accountant, or finance.
- Experience in financial management and reporting.
- Strong organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
- Sufficient experience and knowledge of the legal and financial environment in the KRI.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Kurdish is required, Arabic is an extra asset.
