Role and Responsibilities:
A. Perform land and construction surveys to determine exact project site measurements, levels, boundaries, and alignments.
B. Set out points, lines, elevations, and reference markers based on engineering and architectural drawings.
C. Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, auto levels, and laser scanners.
D. Monitor and verify construction progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances.
E. Conduct as-built surveys and prepare accurate drawings and survey reports.
F. Work closely with site engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors to coordinate site layout and progress.
G. Maintain survey data logs, field notes, and digital records of all surveying activities.
H. Ensure surveying tasks meet health, safety, and quality requirements at all times.
I. Identify and resolve discrepancies between drawings and on-site conditions, escalating critical issues promptly.
J. Support inspections and QA/QC teams by supplying necessary measurement data for verification and documentation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
i. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
ii. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction project surveying.
iii. Proficiency in using total stations, GNSS/GPS systems, and surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble).
iv. Familiarity with topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built documentation.
v. Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
Required Skills:
1. High accuracy and attention to detail in all measurements and records.
2. Strong communication and coordination skills on active construction sites.
3. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving site demands.
4. Self-motivated and committed to quality and deadlines.
5. Language Requirements: Arabic – Fluent; English – Minimum B2 level (Kurdish is a plus).
