Position Procurement Officer
Open to Locals only
Main Duties
- Establishing and identifying local key supplier arrangements and contracts, as well as seeking ways to improve efficiencies while ensuring purchasing compliance.
- Comply with company procurement processes and practices to ensure that Iraq obtains the best value for expenditure on goods and services, in accordance with relevant legislative requirements in Kurdistan/Iraq.
- Provide support, assistance, and advice to management and staff on procurement, tendering, contract matters, and related documents.
- Work closely with relevant Finance & Supply Chain Management members regarding purchasing compliance.
- Maintain related records, associated data, and reporting.
- Perform other procurement-related tasks and provide support to projects as directed by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within Iraq/Kurdistan or similar regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, local supplier markets, contract management.
- Fluency in English and Kurdish & Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
Note/ The candidate should have access to a vehicle for business needs (with an allowance provided) and should be familiar with market conditions. Additionally, strong relationships within the local community as well as proficiency in both Arabic and Kurdish are essential
