The Painter shall be responsible for painting residential or commercial units in a timely manner. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss color schemes and pay rates, keeping an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers, tarps or ladders and working with a team of Painters to oversee the completion of painting jobs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Assembling scaffolding as required.
2.Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers or sealers.
3.Prepares, cleans, and tapes all jobsites.
4.Removing old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds or blowtorches.
5.Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency.
6.Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
7.Cleans up worksite debris.
8.Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps.
9.Estimating time and material costs on painting projects.
10.Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or equivalent, relevant to the role with 3- 5 years’ proven experience and ability to deliver quality finishes with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with painting tools and equipment a plus.
