Fine Hygienic Paper Co. is hiring for the position of Safety Supervisor in Erbil Makhmoor Road
Purpose of the role
Ensures a safe and healthy work environment through the recognition, evaluation, and control of physical conditions and human factors in the workplace. Provide safety coaching and technical support to their safety officers, and the site management team. Also advises production supervisors on safe work methods, practices and abatement of safety and health hazards.
Responsibilities:
- . Document training records and incidents investigations in compliance with regulations and standards.
- Administrate all safety programs that related to various government agencies and insurance programs
- Conduct site audits to evaluate the physical and human hazards in compliance with internal approved audit tools and initiate corrective actions as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production groups regarding plant layouts, manufacturing process and equipment design.
- Supports site safety performance targets (AFR, ASR, etc.) and report performance to targets to site management.
- Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems to safety manager or authorized bodies or Head Office counterpart, whichever applicable.
- Conduct investigation & root cause analysis for all safety incidents. He will outline preventive safety measures to reduce hazard risk.
- Supervise & administrate his/her direct reports.
- Establish, update, & execute the Emergency Plans related to identify emergency situation related to OHS & Environment.
- Execute/support all objectives, targets, programs action plans related to OHS and Environment
- Document site related hazards, and significant environmental aspects and report to Quality Assurance/Top Management in order to collaborate efforts in achieving the reduction of the identified risks and significant environmental aspects
- Promote OHS and Environmental related activities, system components, and Performance indicators
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in related field with 5 years’ experience or bachelor’s degree in any related field with 3 years’ Experience.
- Understands emergency incident command system
- Experience in Factory and FMCG is a plus
- Demonstrates the mechanical aptitude and ability to analyse the mechanics of power equipment and tooling.
- Understands OHSAS, OSHA, and local government labour laws.
- Understand role in Emergency Incident Command structure.
- Intermediate English language skills.
- Effective follow-up skills.
