Wood has been awarded an Operations Readiness Project to support an International Client operation by providing Project Management, Completions and Handover, Start-up, and Operations Readiness advisory and support both within Iraq and Sharjah offices. The Vision of this Contract is to enhance the operation readiness by delivering advisory support to projects that include new installations as well as a series of modifications to the existing facilities. Team of Engineers, Advisors and Operators based in Sharjah and Basra supports in execution of these projects.

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of the Vessel Remediation Program (VRP) and Tank Remediation Program (TRP) in accordance with the agreed ROO plan. This will involve working on multiple vessels and tanks concurrently and at various stages of scope build, planning, preparation and execution.
- Mentoring of Local National Iraqi staff in routine duties and responsibilities in order to facilitate the re-nationalization of oil and gas production.
Primary Duties:
- Support the VRP / TRP Team Lead to achieve safe and effective delivery of the VRP / TRP programs, working to industry standards and best practices.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety & Environmental culture. Lead by example.
- Embrace a one team culture.
- Thorough understanding of pressure vessel and tank repairs to provide guidance for field execution of VRP / TRP scopes, including shell section replacements, nozzle replacements, weld overlay repairs, internal coating application.
- Provide the wide-ranging procedural, hands-on and soft skill support the role requires.
- Awareness of the importance of delivery.
- Coordinate a broad range of VRP / TRP activities involving multi-disciplined activity that includes confined space entry, working at height, fabrication & welding, and other high hazard activities.
- Involvement with Management of Change (MOC) process to develop effective engineering change solutions through good communication & co-ordination with maintenance engineering.
- Monitor progress against the procurement plan & work schedule. Manage the avoidance of scope creep.
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities resulting from the nature of working in an Operations and Maintenance environment.
- Ability to manage concurrent activities safely & effectively and de-conflict SIMOPS.
- Ability to communicate well with Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering & other stakeholders to ensure timely readiness for execution activity.
- Ability to communicate well with Operations to develop culture of best practise electrical & process isolation, de-pressuring, closed draining, flushing, purging, spading for consistency of safe equipment shutdown preparation & aid prompt re-commissioning.
- Proven track record in ensuring vendors with required expertise, spares, products, consumables, scaffolding, vehicular and other enabling logistics are at the worksite when required.
- Coordinate all aspects of VRP/TRP from start to finish including mobilisation to and de-mob from worksite. Strictly in accordance with; good oilfield practise, ROO codes, procedures, quality benchmarks and standards.
- Facilitate audits, inspections and safety observations. Ensuring follow up actions are closed out correctly and promptly.
- Develop VRP / TRP execution schedule with Planner for effective delivery.
- Working with procurement, ensure management of spares and materials. Prioritise and identify long lead items in advance.
- Detailed daily reporting. Clear communication to back to back position through handovers pre / post field breaks.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all activities Responsible for the promotion and implementation of Petrofac / JV and client’s HSE policies.

Expected:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas maintenance & engineering environment, in a Constuction Supervision / Coordination role.
- HNC qualification or higher in relevant technical discipline with strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of asset management system (CMMS)
- Work to the highest personal & professional standards to achieve or exceed set objectives.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and embrace clients’ charter values.
- Foster good relationships and team working ethic with contractor groups to promote safe working practices and efficiency.
- Experience of working in an integrated team from diverse locations required.
