The project aims to support Out-of-School Children (OOSC) in Iraq by improving access to inclusive and quality education.

Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months (renewable, subject to donor funding and satisfactory performance)
- Job Purpose
The Community Mobilizer is responsible for community engagement, outreach, and awareness-raising activities under the FORSA Project. The position plays a key role in identifying Out-of-School Children (OOSC), supporting their re-enrolment in education programs, and building strong relationships with families, schools, and local stakeholders to sustain children’s attendance and retention.
- Key Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door outreach and awareness sessions to identify OOSC and facilitate their enrolment in schools or ALP centers.
- Support the implementation of back-to-school campaigns and community-based education events.
- Engage with Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), community leaders, and local councils to promote inclusive education and prevent dropout.
- Collect and update data on OOSC using standard tools in coordination with the MEAL Officer.
- Facilitate child protection referrals in collaboration with the project’s protection partners and service providers.
- Organize awareness sessions on key issues affecting education, including child marriage, child labor, and disability inclusion.
- Support families in obtaining civil documentation required for school enrolment.
- Participate in regular project meetings and share field-level updates and success stories.
- Represent RRD positively in the community, upholding the organization’s values and safeguarding commitments.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach, education, or child protection programs.
- Experience in community mobilization for donor-funded education or protection projects preferred.
- Good understanding of education barriers affecting OOSC in Iraq.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse communities.
- Proficiency in Arabic (required); English an advantage.
