Al-Rakeezeh Foundation for Relief and Development (RRD) is pleased to announce several job openings within the FORSA Project, implemented in partnership with Education Above All (EAA) and Save the Children (SCI).
The project aims to support Out-of-School Children (OOSC) in Iraq by improving access to inclusive and quality education.

Duty Station: Baghdad, Iraq
Reports To: Project Manager
Contract Type: Full-time, 12 months (renewable, subject to donor funding and satisfactory performance)
- Job Purpose
The Education Officer plays a central role in the technical implementation of education activities under the FORSA Project, ensuring quality, inclusivity, and alignment with Education Above All (EAC) and Save the Children (SCI) standards. The position focuses on improving access, retention, and learning outcomes for Out-of-School Children (OOSC) through support to schools, Alternative Learning Programs (ALPs), and community-based interventions.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation of education interventions, ensuring they are consistent with project goals and EAC standards.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Education (MoE), Directorates of Education (DoEs), and school leadership to facilitate the enrolment and retention of OOSC.
- Support the delivery of teacher training programs on learner-centered and inclusive pedagogies.
- Ensure that gender, disability inclusion, and child protection are integrated across education activities.
- Conduct regular school visits to monitor classroom practices, teacher performance, and student attendance.
- Contribute to the design and distribution of learning materials and school supplies.
- Support PTA activation and capacity building for improved school management and accountability.
- Work closely with the MEAL Officer to collect, verify, and analyze education-related data for project reporting.
- Prepare high-quality reports and case studies highlighting key achievements, challenges, and best practices.
- Support the Project Manager in coordinating education cluster meetings and stakeholder workshops.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in education program implementation, preferably with NGOs or international organizations.
- Strong understanding of EAC indicators (enrolment, survival rate, inclusive education) and MoE education standards.
- Experience in teacher training, curriculum development, and inclusive education approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills with government and community stakeholders.
- Proficient in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
