We are seeking a highly skilled and confident HR Specialist to oversee the overall HR function for our dealer in Baghdad. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations independently, making informed decisions, and ensuring compliance with Iraqi labor laws, payroll, social security, and tax regulations. The HR Specialist will focus on enhancing organizational culture by fostering innovation, creativity, and addressing improvements in overall team spirit. Additionally, the role will include preparing monthly reports and ensuring the HR system is regularly updated.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Oversight: Manage the HR operations for the dealer, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance with legal standards.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Iraqi labor laws, payroll, social security, and tax regulations.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead recruitment processes, from interviews to offer letters, and manage the onboarding of new employees.
- Offboarding: Handle employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and ensuring legal and policy compliance.
- Performance Appraisals: Oversee performance evaluations, ensuring constructive feedback and development plans are in place.
- Training & Development: Identify employee skill gaps and organize training and development initiatives to drive improvement.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, resolve conflicts, and conduct investigations when needed.
- Safety & Security: Ensure that workplace safety and security regulations are followed and communicated to employees.
- Internal Regulations: Ensure compliance with company policies and advise management on potential changes or updates.
- Payroll: Oversee the payroll process in accordance with legal and company policies.
- Communication: Maintain open, professional communication across all levels, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Monthly Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly HR reports, including recruitment updates, employee performance metrics, turnover rates, and other HR-related KPIs.
- HR System Management: Regularly update and maintain the HR system, ensuring accurate employee data and timely information processing.
- Culture & Innovation: Address and implement improvements in the overall organizational culture, promoting a positive work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and a strong team spirit.
- Strategic HR Initiatives: Collaborate with management to drive initiatives that foster employee engagement and retention, while continuously seeking ways to innovate HR practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally within Iraq.
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi labor law, payroll, social security, and tax regulations.
- Experience in managing recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Proficient in HR systems and capable of preparing monthly reports.
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing organizational culture, innovation, and employee engagement.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make confident, well-informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience in handling investigations, addressing internal regulatory concerns, and proposing organizational improvements.
