- Job description – Role, Responsibility & Accountability
Normal/Standard selection rules as Fabricator:
- Must be able to read engineering drawings including isometrics, P&ID, GAD’s, structural, vessel and tank drawings etc and should have enough experience to use fabrication tools and perform proper fabrication, taking care of required dimensions and follow quality procedures.
- Study and interpret assembly instructions. Listen to directions from supervisors.
- Read and interpret Drawings and sketches. Read bill of materials
- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following drawing and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
- Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
- Lift or move materials and finished products, using large cranes.
- Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and other component specifications
- Study engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
- Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
- Smooth work piece edges and fix taps, tubes, and valves Set up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures.

Educational Qualification
Any education
Experience
Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in welding; field experience in oil industry is very important. Normally for fabrication, we are working on piping, structure, vessels and tanks.
Certification requirements
Shall have qualification certificates.
Special Training requirements
To know about the Oil filed Product and service lines;
In house training about welding process / procedure.
Other requirements for the Job Position
Local/Iraqi is required and must willing to work at site or wherever the company has project
Knowledge about interpretation of drawings and specifications.
Basic Knowledge about piping, structure, vessel, tanks and pipeline.
Knowledge on Fabrication
Knowledge on Pipeline, Piping, Structural Vessel, Tank
Ability to read drawing
Knowledge of instruments handling
Measurement & Monitoring techniques
Knowledge on basic welding concepts, material grades.
