Role Purpose:
The Utilities Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, recording parameters, and maintaining the factory’s utility systems, including boilers, air compressors, water treatment systems, chillers, and power generation equipment. This role ensures the continuous and efficient delivery of utilities to support production and plant operations, while strictly adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Accountabilities:
• Operate and monitor utility systems, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, generators, and water treatment plants.
• Ensure stable and efficient operation of all utility systems to prevent downtime and production interruptions.
• Maintain detailed logs of equipment performance, including pressure, temperature, and other critical parameters.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on utility equipment.
• Detect and report malfunctions or abnormal readings in utility systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues and carrying out corrective maintenance as needed.
- Energy Efficiency & Optimization:
• Monitor fuel, water, and energy consumption, and recommend strategies to optimize resource usage.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving system efficiency and reducing operational costs.
- Documentation & Reporting:
• Keep accurate records of utility system operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
• Prepare daily and shift reports, highlighting and communicating key issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
•2-3 years in utilities operation, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Knowledgeable in the occupational hazards associated and the necessary safety precautions.
• Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of electrical and mechanical equipment operation.
• Knowledgeable in the overall electrical system and its operations

• Job specific knowledge, i.e. cooling & heating operation & related equipment maintenance.
• Ability to follow procedures & instructions.
