Job Overview
An experienced HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including VRF and split units. The technician ensures that all HVAC operations comply with relevant quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. This role also involves maintaining a well-organized and efficient work environment, completing all required checklists, and adhering to the preventive and planned maintenance (PPM) schedules within the designated timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and service HVAC systems, with a strong focus on VRF systems and split units, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Inspect and repair system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, air handlers, thermostats, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance (PPM) to maintain system efficiency, reduce downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.
- Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, particularly in advanced VRF systems and inverter technologies.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, adjusting settings or components to optimize energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation of all service activities, including maintenance logs, service reports, and checklists.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, manufacturer specifications, local codes, and international HVAC standards (ASHRAE, etc.).
- Respond quickly and professionally to emergency service calls, resolving issues within specified timeframes to minimize disruption.
- Coordinate with other technical teams (e.g., BMS, electrical, plumbing) as needed for system integration and optimal facility operation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, using appropriate PPE and following all safety protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician VRF and Split units (minimum 3–5 years).
- Technical certification or diploma in HVAC or a related field.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights when needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
