Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women’s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice
- Background
As part of the “Voices of Strength” project in Anbar, Al-Mesalla is facilitating community voting dialogues aimed at strengthening women’s participation in elections. Women committee members will take the lead in engaging communities and creating inclusive platforms for conversation.
- Purpose of the Position
The Community Facilitator will lead local sessions to discuss electoral participation, raise awareness on women’s rights, and promote open civic dialogue.
- Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate community dialogue sessions in Fallujah and Ramadi.
- Encourage open discussion, especially among women and youth.
- Ensure respectful and focused conversations around voting and participation.
- Report back main takeaways and community questions to the project team.
- Required Qualifications
- Active member of the women’s committee or local civic group.
- Confidence in speaking with community members and managing group discussion.
- Interest in elections, peace, and women’s empowerment.
- Committed to inclusive and respectful dialogue.
