Your Mission
We are looking for a Business Development & Partnerships Officer to help expand Baly’s impact across multiple verticals, including Food, Taxi, and Central functions. You will identify, negotiate, and launch high-value partnerships that fuel growth, enhance visibility, and unlock new business opportunities. This role requires a strong mix of strategy, execution, and relationship management — working across multiple industries and stakeholders to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities across sectors like telecom, FMCG, retail, government, tech, and events
- Lead the full partnership lifecycle: from outreach and proposal drafting to deal negotiation, onboarding, and launch
- Collaborate with internal teams — Marketing, Operations, Product, Legal, and Finance — to execute and track partnership performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order volume, brand reach, CAC/ROI, and user loyalty metrics
- Maintain strong partner relationships, ensuring mutual value, renewal potential, and upsell opportunities
- Contribute to strategic business development planning, city expansion strategies, and awareness campaigns
- Secure low-cost or no-cost visibility through partnerships — including co-branded events, in-kind marketing, or platform integrations
Must-Have Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales (preferably in tech, telecom, FMCG, or a fast-paced environment)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and manage multiple stakeholders
- Highly data-driven with experience tracking performance metrics and business KPIs
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English
- Deep understanding of the Iraqi market and consumer behavior
Nice to Have
- Background in marketplaces, ride-hailing, food delivery, or telecom
- Familiarity with loyalty systems, B2B2C collaborations, or digital marketing activations
- Experience launching multi-channel or co-branded campaigns with external partners
