We are hiring Safety Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure implementation of safety measures in accordance with Iraqi labor laws and industry best practices.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety induction and training programs for employees and contractors.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness of safety equipment.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies regarding health and safety compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Local national.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a hazardous industry (e.g., oil & gas, chemical plants, heavy manufacturing, galvanization plants).
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of Iraqi HSE regulations and international safety standards (ISO, OSHA, NEBOSH preferred).
