Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security strategies to safeguard personnel, assets, operations, and information within the Iraq Oil & Gas sector. This role involves managing security personnel, liaising with local authorities, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. 1. Key Responsibilities • Managing all functions related to Security, Operations, Facility design & construction, Security-Contract Management. • Managing the Security Provider (Private Security Company). • Handling public relations and liaising with relevant entities; Government, Military, Police, and Private Security Companies. • Negotiating contracts and pricing. • Overseeing daily administration. • Client liaison, delivering presentations, and building relationships. • Planning and managing evacuations. • Conducting risk assessments. • Gathering and analyzing intelligence. • Conducting investigations. • Designing and managing access control systems. • Managing government regulatory processes concerning movement and Oil-field permits. 2. Required Skills and Qualifications • Military Service Background, or related field, advanced certifications preferred. • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in security management, preferably within the oil & gas industry or similar high-risk environments. • Proven experience operating in Iraq or similar complex geopolitical regions. • Strong knowledge of local laws, customs, and security challenges in Iraq. • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively. • Proficiency in security management software and CCTV systems
