Job Title: Project Manager

Responsibilities
- Manage and Track the Project:
- Lead the project from initiation through to closure, overseeing all phases to ensure alignment with goals and objectives. Regularly review progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on track. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required.
- Manage and Track the Project's Budget:
- Monitor budget expenditures to ensure the project remains within financial limits. Identify cost-saving opportunities and report financial status to stakeholders.
- Manage and Track the Project Schedule:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables while addressing any delays promptly.
- Review Offers with Engineering Teams:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager (Procurement) and the Head of the Projects Department to evaluate vendor offers, facilitating discussions to reach agreements on selected companies for project needs.
- Provide Daily Reports:
- Generate and share daily reports with the project manager and top management, summarizing project status, key activities, and any issues requiring attention.
- Assign Tasks to Project Team:
- Distribute tasks to team members across civil, electrical, mechanical, and documentation sectors. Collect daily updates on progress and challenges faced.
- Track Daily Attendance:
- Monitor and document daily attendance of the project team to ensure optimal resource allocation and address any attendance-related issues promptly.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Progress Reporting:
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and any changes to the project plan.
- Change Management:
- Manage changes to project scope or objectives, ensuring modifications are documented and communicated effectively.
- Project Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, meeting notes, and other essential records.
- Performance Evaluation:
- Evaluate project performance against established metrics and objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Post-Project Evaluation:
- Conduct lessons learned sessions at project completion, gathering feedback to enhance future project performance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project progress.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations by implementing quality control processes.
- Provide Weekly Task Reports:
- Compile and submit weekly reports to the Head of the Projects Department-Erbil, summarizing progress on tasks, challenges faced, and plans for the upcoming week.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and engineering principles.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely project delivery within budget.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying and resolving on-site issues to minimize delays and ensure quality.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures that all work meets the required quality standards and complies with specifications and regulations.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead on-site teams, collaborate effectively with contractors, and motivate others to achieve project goals.
