Job Summary
The Uniform Attendant is responsible for issuing, collecting, cleaning, and maintaining uniforms for all employees to ensure they are presented neatly and professionally. This role ensures proper inventory control, cleanliness standards, and efficient distribution of uniforms in line with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue and receive uniforms for employees according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of uniform distribution and returns.
- Ensure all uniforms are cleaned, pressed, and in good condition before issuance.
- Inspect uniforms regularly and report damages, shortages, or replacement needs.
- Assist with labeling, sorting, and organizing uniforms by department and size.
- Coordinate with laundry operations to ensure timely cleaning and delivery.
- Maintain an organized uniform storage area.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in handling uniforms.
- Assist with inventory counts and prepare requisitions for new uniforms when needed.
- Provide courteous and efficient service to all employees requesting uniforms.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or a similar role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and fabric care.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit to handle lifting, sorting, and moving uniforms.
