Summary
Responsible for testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting the performance of a mobile network. By driving through designated areas with specialized equipment, they gather data on signal strength, quality, and network coverage, helping to ensure optimal network performance and customer satisfaction. This role is vital for identifying network issues, verifying coverage areas, and improving service reliability, all of which contribute to delivering a seamless mobile experience for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct drive tests using specific testing tools and equipment.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as signal strength, call quality, data speed, and network coverage.
- Troubleshoot network issues on-site to identify weak signal areas or areas with high interference.
- Report findings to engineering teams and provide recommendations for network improvements.
- Collaborate with network optimization teams to enhance overall network quality and resolve persistent issues.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
Competencies
- Proficiency with drive test equipment and software
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting and reporting data.
- Basic understanding of radio frequency (RF) principles and mobile network standards (e.g., GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G).
