Technical Support Associate – Information Technology Department
Location: Baghdad, Iraq
🔹 About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Support Associate to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality first‑line technical support, addressing hardware and software issues, performing routine IT operations, and ensuring that the technology needs of all departments across the bank are met efficiently and professionally. You will also play a key role in executing contingency plans and preparing reports for relevant stakeholders when needed.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Respond to technical issues, service requests, and equipment malfunctions.
- Provide support to the IT divisions and business departments as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, hardware servicing, and software installation/configuration.
- Support the Help Desk team to ensure timely assistance for all users across the organization.
- Coordinate with internal users to provide technical support and essential maintenance.
- Work closely with all departments, branches, and teams to train users on devices and software applications.
- Assess technical needs and recommend hardware and software solutions to support business operations.
🔹 Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar technical support or IT operations role.
🔹 Required Knowledge
- Understanding of IT equipment, systems, and server environments.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management practices.
- Strong understanding of major operating systems and their configurations.
- Knowledge in information security and protection standards.
- Ability to produce technical documentation and written reports.
