About The Role
We are looking for a
Data Analyst – Fraud Detection to help protect Baly’s platform by detecting, monitoring, and preventing fraudulent activities across our systems.
In this role, you will work closely with
Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to analyze data, build monitoring rules, and support automation initiatives. You will play a key role in identifying abnormal behavior, improving fraud detection logic, and ensuring data-driven decisions are made to reduce risk and losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor platform activity to identify potential fraud patterns and abnormal behavior
- Develop, maintain, and improve fraud monitoring rules and thresholds
- Analyze large datasets using SQL, Excel, and Python to investigate fraud cases and trends
- Work independently on fraud detection tasks, investigations, and reporting
- Support automation initiatives such as alerts, dashboards, and monitoring frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve fraud prevention processes
- Provide clear insights and recommendations based on data findings
- Continuously refine fraud detection logic based on new trends and business changes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong business understanding with solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Good working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of monitoring and rule management
- Basic understanding of business KPIs is a plus
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and risks in data
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain findings
Nice to Have
- Experience in fraud detection, risk analysis, or compliance
- Experience building dashboards or automated monitoring tools
- Familiarity with alerting systems or rule-based detection frameworks
- Experience working with large-scale transactional data
