Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. As an Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering department's daily operations, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining efficient administrative processes.
- Coordinate daily activities of the Engineering department, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer
- Assist in day-to-day operations, including correspondence, report preparation, and call dispatching
- Manage departmental records, logs, and month-end documentation
- Maintain and organize engineering files and documentation systems
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and accruals for approval and submission
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors, maintaining an up-to-date contact list
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment
- Assist in prioritizing assignments and tasks for the engineering team
- Greet visitors and handle inquiries directed to the Engineering department
- Ensure compliance with company standards and departmental policies
- Collaborate with team members to support project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative assistant role, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools
- Familiarity with engineering terminology and processes
- Knowledge of local engineering regulations and standards in Iraq
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
