Key Goal:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Human Resources department, with a strong focus on benefits and compensation administration, employee relations, and process improvement. This role ensures that HR services and processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company objectives. The ideal candidate brings strategic insight and hands-on experience in delivering high-impact HR services that support employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS maintenance, attendance management, and personnel recordkeeping.
- Ensure compliance with Iraqi labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline HR processes.
- Manage employee benefits programs including retention, leaves, and wellness initiatives.
- Lead annual compensation reviews, benchmarking, and salary structure design.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely salary payments and benefits deductions.
- Address employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct investigations and maintain documentation related to employee grievances or disputes.
- Generate and analyze HR reports including headcount, turnover, compensation, and benefits utilization.
- Lead or support internal audits and external compliance reviews.
- Partner with leadership on change management efforts and organizational restructuring.
- Implement HR technology tools and digital solutions to improve service delivery.
- Manage employee documentation including contracts, policies, and confidential records
Education, Experience & Qualifications necessary to perform the job:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in benefits, compensation, and people operation, preferably in the fintech or telecommunication industry.
Language: Fluent English and fluent Arabic are must, good command in Kurdish
Key Skills:
- Experience managing HR operations across multiple functions.
- In-depth knowledge of Iraqi labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
