Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. The ideal candidate will oversee our mechanical operations, lead a team of mechanics, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our automotive repair and maintenance services.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics
- Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance projects
- Conduct quality control inspections on all completed work to maintain high standards
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to team members
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for various vehicles and equipment
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures in the workshop
- Train and mentor junior mechanics to improve their skills and performance
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and improve overall efficiency
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and labor hours
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various vehicle types and systems
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer systems and maintenance management software
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and procedures in an automotive workshop
- Experience with heavy equipment repair a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control and inspection procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
