Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Government Relations Officer to join our team in Baghdad, Iraq. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our organization's relationships with government entities, policymakers, and key stakeholders in the region.
- Develop and implement effective government relations strategies to support the hotel's objectives in Iraq
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders
- Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for senior management on government affairs and policy matters
- Represent the Hotel at meetings, conferences, and other events with government officials and industry partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with government agencies and other organizations
- Provide guidance on navigating complex political landscapes and regulatory environments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations or public affairs, preferably in IraqÂ
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi government structure, policies, and decision-making processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical and research abilities, with experience in policy analysis
